2019 Audi RS5 Baojun Sports Coupe Release Date, Price, Spy Shots, & Redesign – Belief of the nameplate RS5 and the photos you are sure to conjure up in your mind are of the most strong version of Audi‘s A5. But General Motors has used the exact same designation (although with a hyphen) on a different vehicle.
The Baojun RS-5 is the latest crossover that GM’s introducing to its Chinese lineup, stemming from its joint venture with the Shanghai Automotive Industry Company (SAIC). It is the fourth this kind of SUV to join the lineup, and even though Audi may get some objections, it offers a new nomenclature to the brand.
However, the SAIC-GM-Wuling joint venture released these four initial images to review the vehicle’s design, it hasn’t released a lot in the way of details. “More information about the RS-5,” it guarantees, “will be released nearer to the vehicle’s launch,” every time that may be.
However all those specs design up, you can bet they’ll be very different from Ingolstadt’s. In its existing iteration, the Audi RS5 packs a 2.9-liter twin-turbo V6 making 442 horsepower (330 kW) and 440 lb-ft (600 Nm) of torque, channeled to all four wheels via an eight-speed automatic transmission. It is provided in equally two-door coupe and five-door Sportback body-variations, with a convertible version likely to comply with – but certainly not a crossover. That place is entertained by the Q5, that may be possessed in an SQ5 spec, and is expected to deliver an RS Q5 model as well. Just do not expect Baojun’s new RS-5 to challenge it for performance or prestige – or to be supplied significantly exterior the Chinese market, possibly.
